 Progress and challenges in numerical simulation of transition and turbulence in aerospace applications

 

Professor Parviz Moin is the Franklin P. and Caroline M. Johnson Professor in the School of Engineering and the Founding Director of the Center for Turbulence Research (CTR). He pioneered the use of Direct Numerical Simulation for the study of turbulence physics. Moin is the Co-Editor of the Annual Review of Fluid Mechanics and Associate Editor of the Journal of Computational Physics. Moin is a Fellow of the American Physical Society, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a member of the United States National Academy of Engineering, and the National Academy of Sciences.
